Jason was commissioned by Derby City Council to design new signage and maps to promote the recreational area known as ‘Derby Riverside’. The signage was intended for walkers, cyclists, and public transport users. The maps also included a number of 3D landmark buildings. The signage and maps had to be clearly identified as part of a separate scheme from the broader city wayfinding system. A number of key buildings (destinations) were required to be developed as 3D models. As the mapping was implemented in the heads-up approach, these buildings needed to be shown from different viewpoints.
