A self-starter and problem-solver, Shauna has been a vital asset to Yellowfields since its inception. Shauna takes the lead in business development, marketing and partnerships. She brings an individual artistic interpretation to projects and provides art direction as required. Shauna takes every opportunity to learn through self-directed study and personal research. She is interested in placemaking and public space design, and has a special interest in sustainable public gardens and communities.
Within her varied and well-travelled background, she has gained experience working in the City of London, worked as a chef aboard superyachts and founded and ran an ethical clothing company before it became ‘fashionable’ to do so—all the while having a hand in Yellowfields. Previously, Shauna studied Art History at Simon Fraser University after being awarded a Canada-wide Fine Art scholarship. She then worked in the graphic design department of a large signing studio for five years before coming to the UK.
